n Microsoft Windows operating system when you want to delete a user account, the user profile will remain in the root directory of Windows. If you want to remove user profile correctly and completely from your system, follow the step by step article until you have deleted the user account and removed a user profile from your system drive and get free your hard disk.

How to Delete User Account in Windows 10?

Delete Windows 10 user profile correctly:

1. Backup user account files.
2. Delete user account.
3. Delete User Profile.

Note: Before deleting Windows 10 user profile, try to backup important data then apply the following article.

Step 1:  In Windows press Windows +R to open the Run and type “lusrmgr.msc”  for opening the windows Local user and group manager. The local users and groups manager let you create a user account, delete user account or remove user account and manage users and groups settings.

2. Now select the Users to see the existing users on your computer. To delete a user account, right-click the user name and select Delete to delete a user account.

Note: you can’t remove the built-in administrator of your computer, but you can delete user accounts you have created. 

3. Finally, on the prompt screen, hit Yes button to complete the process to delete Windows 10 user account.

Now you have deleted user account only, and the user profile remains on the system drive. Let’s remove user profile completely from the system. If the profile remains on the system, it will use disk spaces.

How to Remove User Profile in Windows 10?

In step 2, try to delete the remain user account profile from the system drive. To remove a user account profile, you need to have administrator privilege.

Step 2: Remove User Profile. Type “sysdm.cpl” on Windows Run and press enter to open System Properties.

1. When the System Properties opened, select the Advanced tab.
2. On Advanced tab click Setting under User Profiles. Don’t click Settings under Performance.
3. Select the user account profile you want to delete it.
4. Click Delete button and click Yes to accept and remove user profile completely from your system.

Now the user account has been deleted successfully and the user profile removed from your system also. Deleting user profile will prevent the system from keeping other deleted user account profiles on your computer.

In a network where you have Windows and Linux Ubuntu operating system, it is a bit difficult to share file between Ubuntu and Windows. The best way to share file between Ubuntu and Windows, you need to install and configure Samba as a file server in Ubuntu Linux. The Samba server will simply let you share files with Windows and Linux Ubuntu.

1. Installing Samba in Ubuntu

Samba is a free software re-implementation of the SMB/CIFS networking protocol. Samba provides file and print services for various Windows clients and can integrate with a Windows Server domain, either as a Domain Controller (DC) or as a domain member. So in this article, we are using in Per-to-Per network between Windows clients and Linux Ubuntu clients. If you don’t like reading then watch the video tutorials at the end of this post.

1. To install Samba file server in Ubuntu Linux, run the terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T keys to open Linux terminal command-line interface.
2. Now type the “sudo apt-get install Samba” to install Samba file server. Type the password to start the installation.

Remember; your Ubuntu machine must be connected to the internet. Because this apt-get install command will install software from Ubuntu online software repository.

2. Share File Between Ubuntu and Windows

Let’s do how to share a file in Ubuntu through file explorer? Open the File and create a folder in the Home directory. I have created Netdata folder and required to share it.

1. Right-click the Netdata folder and click Local Network Share. Select Share this folder.

To allow modification to files and folder for users, select Allow others to create and delete files in this folder. Also, select Guest access (for people without a user account) to access files from Windows without requiring user and password.

2. Click Add the Permissions automatically to apply the permission to the shared folder.

If you want to set a password for a shared folder, you shout set a user for Samba file server with “sudo smbpasswd -a Shais” command then type the password twice.

Now it asks your user and password when someone wants to access the shared folders. The file-sharing from Ubuntu Linux has completed successfully. Let’s test it from Windows 10 client.

3. Access Shared Folders from Windows 10

You can access the Linux shared folders from Windows 10 using Network section. To simply access the shared folders type the \\IP address\Shared folders.

1. In Windows 10 type \\192.168.0.104\NetData and press enter to open the shared files of Linux Ubuntu.

2. When prompt for network credential, type the user name and password. If you did not set a password for Samba files server, it would not ask the network credentials.

3. It’s all the contents of a shared folder. You can create and delete files or edit the files.

To access the shared files quickly, create a shortcut link to a shared folder in Windows 10.

Right-click on the desktop and click New then click Shortcut.

Type the network address of shared folder in Type the location of the item: and click Next.

Type a name for shortcut related to the contents of the shared folder and click Finish to create the shortcut.

The above article and video are a simple file sharing between Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu. I didn’t assign a user to Samba file server on Linux. Because of this, a user on Technig Youtube channel asked a good question about sharing files and user permissions.

Asked by Ramsin Eivaz: question if I want a user and password, I assume I have to check only “allow others to create…” and not the guest access. But when I enter the Ubuntu user and password, it is not able to log in!! would you have any suggestions thanks.

Answer: You need to create a user account and add the user to the Sambashare group. Then when you access the folder from Windows clients, you should use that username and password for viewing the shared files and folders.

1. First, try to create a user in Ubuntu with “useradd” command or another command that help you create a user.

The -M parameter will not create a home directory for this user and the -N will not create a group with the same username. The -g parameter just specify the group name.

I have created the username “Ali” and added to “sambashare” group.

2. Let’s set a password for the Samba user with “smbpasswd” command.

3. Now from Windows 10, type this username and password to access the contents of a shared folder.

The step by step guide to install and configure DHCP Server in Windows Server 2012 R2. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is the core networking protocol to deploy Internet Protocol (IP) address automatically for network clients. In a small to medium and large networks, the IP address deployment has performed by DHCP Server. A DHCP Server assigns IP addresses to client computers and reduces IP management tasks.The DHCP protocol is available on most used Wireless Access point devices with preconfiguring of basic DHCP services for home users.

But in the enterprise network, DHCP Server require installation and configuration. In Microsoft Windows Server it a role base service. You must install it first and configure to work correctly. So I don’t take about DHCP Server on Cisco routers now because this article is about DCHP installation and configuration of Windows Server 2012 R2. 

 1. Install and Configure DHCP Server Role

To install DHCP Serve go to Dashboard on Server Manager and click Manage then click Add Rules and Features.

In the Role installation window select Role-based or feature-based installation the click Next.

Choose the server you want to install DHCP from the Server pool. Here we have one server and select by default.

From the Roles list select DHCP Server. When the Add Roles and Features Wizard Page opened, click Add Features then Click Next. That will install required features for DHCP Server.

In the Features window, do not change anything, just click Next.

Once read the information about DHCP Server and click Next button.

In the Confirm Installation page, select Restart the destination server automatically if required. Click Yes the warning window and click Install.

The installation will take a minute,when it has completed successfully click Complete DHCP Configuration link.

Read DHCP Post-Install configuration wizard description and click Next.

Set the appropriate user for management of DHCP Server. Here I leave it by default because the administrator (Shais) has the right privilege to perform DHCP Server configuration.

On the DHCP summary window clicks Close and close the DHCP Installation page also.

2. Configure DHCP Server and Create Scope

Now try to set up the installed DHCP server and create Scope to lease IP address for clients.

Type dhcpmgmt.msc in Windows Run and press enter to open DHCP management console.

On DHCP console window expends the domain name and IPv4.  Right, click the IPv4 the click New Scope.

Click Next on the New Scope Wizard page.

In the Scope, name defines the name of Scope and write any description then click Next.

Assign the start IP address range and the end IP address range. I have set from 192.168.100.1 to 192.168.100.254 which is a class C IP address. Leave the length 24 by default and click Next.

Add the exclusive range prevent them from leasing to the client by DHCP Server. The IP address range which reserved is use for Network Servers and popular workstation. Here I add 192.168.100.1 to 192.168.100.15.  Just set the IP address and click Add button then click Next.

Let the Lease Duration by default and click Next.

Only click Next the Configure DHCP Options, and Yes, I want to configure these options now must be checked.

If you have a router in your network, set the router IP address and click Add button, then click Next.

Type your domain name, and it’s IP address then click Next.

Do nothing for WINS Servers, because we don’t use WINS Server ether. Just click Next.

In Active Scope, windows click Next. Be sure the Yes, I want to active this scope now must check.

Finally, click Finish to close and finalize the installation of DHCP Server in Windows Server 2012 R2.

Now you can assign the IP address to your network clients automatically trough this DHCP Server.

1. Press Windows+x then press P to open Windows Control Panel then select User Accounts.

2. Click Create a password reset disk to open Forgotten Password Wizard page. Plug a USB to your computer before creating a password reset disk.

3. On forgotten password wizard page click Next. The system automatically detect your USB drive or you manually select the removable disk to create a reset Windows 10 password disk and click Next.

4. Type the current password and click Next. When progress 100% complete, click Next and finally click Finish.

Good, the Windows 10 reset password disk has been created successfully. Keep this USB secure and when you forgot you Windows password, try to reset with.

Note: The password reset disk create a userkey.psw file in your USB drive. If you copy this file to any removable devices, you will be able to reset your Windows 10 password. So try to keep this encrypted file in a secure place.

The encrypted userkey.psw file is unreadable unlike Bitlocker recovery password code. Don’t try to copy the contents of userkey.psw file in order to create another reset password file.

How to Reset Windows 10 Password with Reset Disk?

1. When you want to reset password using this file, just plug the USB that contain userkey.psw file to your computer and click Reset Password.

2. Click Next and system will detect USB drive automatically. Try click Next again when you select USB drive to reset the password.

3. On new password page, type the new password twice and type the password hits then click Next and click Finish to complete the password reset process. Now login to your computer with new password.

 What is Flyer?

Flyer is a form or piece  of paper with some texts and images information on it, about a product or an event for advertising in a public places or on internet.

What is the exact size of flyer for print or web?

It is depend to you for what you want to create flyer, the most popular size for flyer is (A5, A4 )  for long text and images, but you can create in any sizes as well. I personally use A5 and A4, these two sizes are good for business flyer.

Create Flyer design Using Photoshop

Before staring the step by step tutorial lets have a look to final result of what we will be creating.

Step 1: Create a new document, go to File> New, name it Flyer, from the preset menu select International Paper, from Size menu use A4, Click OK, the new blank document will open.

Step 2: Now place an the image, go to File> Place select the image from project folder you downloaded and click Place, it will placed in your document.

Step 3: Scale down the image and use Clone Stamp Tool to fill all the top empty area of the image like below, remember to  Rasterize your image layer before using Clone tool, to Clone the image hold down Alt Key to select a source color from the image than paint at top empty areas.

Step 4: Pick up the the Polygon Shape Tool, create a shape give it this color code #(efbf5e) and place it at the top of the document than make a duplicate by pressing (Ctrl+J) change the color bottom shape to white and move it sown by pressing the down Arrow key Five times, apply Drop shadow effects on it, Mode Normal, Angel 90^o, Distance 20 px, Size 120 px your design should look like below.

Step 5: Now use Pen tool try to create a nice and smooth shape like bellow give it this color code #(8abc43) than duplicate it and change colorof the bottom copy of the shape layer to white and move it to the left to create a nice stroke, as below.

Step 6:  Time to import or add some text to finish up our work, the most important detail is the text Title, Services and contacts, I  already had the text info and import it, just play with text font, size and color to make the design perfect.

Final Step: Create a polygon shape and put it at the lower right corner of the document make tow mor copy and scale it down than move it to the left, to fill the empty area and as well add some more images and than place the images put each image on each shapes than us the clipping Mask option to clip the image to the layers as below.

In this series of Photoshop Tips tutorial we will show you how to create or make creative Facebook cover in Photoshop. We will use the Pen Tool, Layer Style and many more, so by the end of this tutorial you will understand all the great and use full tips and techniques to design your own Facebook cover photo in Photoshop.

Make Creative Facebook Cover In Photoshop

Take a look the final result of what we will design in this tutorial.

Step 1: Create new document, go to File>New, name it (cover photo) dimension on Facebook cover is 851 by  315 resolution 72 px, click OK a new blank document will open.

Step 2: Place a template of Facebook cover for guide to help you make Guide Lines.

Step 3: Now make some guide lines from the template, to make guides in Adobe Photoshop move your Move Tool over the ruler and hold down left Click and move your mouse to right or bottom of the document, as I did! If your document does not have ruler press (Ctrl+ R) to reveal the rulers, now hide the template after bringing the guides, than place some  logos or whatever you have with a different sizes and different area of your document as below.

Step 4: Bring one more guide to specified the center of your document, than pick up the pen tool and create a shape from two bottom  corners of your Ai logo to the center of the document.

Step 5: Now move your layer to the bottom of all other layers and create one more shape for the right side of the Ai logo and give it a dark color.

Step 6: Now apply Gradient Overlay  FX  for shape layer 1 and shape layer 2, give the same gradient color as below.

Set the setting as below.

Step 7: Now copy the same layer style and past it on shape layer 2, to copy the layer style of any layer just right click on a layer, a long menu will open, find the command and copy the layer style and past it on another layer, to  past the layer style do the same process the past command is right under the copy command.

Step 8: Now again pick the pen tool, create two shapes to join Ps logo to the center of the document, use the same thing like step 4.

Step 9: Use the following color code for shape layer 1 and 2, #(7cbaf8) #(050034) than set the angle of Gradient to (0^o) for shape layer 1 and (-81) for shape layer 2.

Step 10: Do the same steps for two other logo, use this color code #(422f36) #(db007b)  for Id logo set the angle to (0^o) and (54^o) for each shape layers, and use this code #(cd9cff) #(0a0740) for top Logo which is Ae logo and set the angle to (90^o).

Step 11: Now make a shape for the profile picture give it a nice color and than make two shapes to join the profile pic to the center of the document, use gradient for the layers to give it better look, and add a nice background.

Step 12: Its time to cutout the document in a different parts, so to cut an specefic area of any documents in Adobe Photoshop is  use the Slice Tool. Slice only  profile picture area and photo cover size as We highlight it with yellow color.

Final Step: Now  go to File > Save for Web set the format to Jpeg  click Save to save your document, remember to save your document two time one for profile pic and second one for cover photo, Now your file is ready to set on wall of Facebook.

Decrease Image Size in Photoshop

Before starting, take a look at size of this image which looks a bout 5.43 MB after decreasing its size it will look a bout 486 KB.

1. Create a new folder and then drag your images inside it, After that open Adobe Photoshop. When you reached to Photoshop Navigate to File- Script and then select Image Processor.

2. After selecting that Image Processor a new window will appear which is known as Image Processor, in this window select the folder which contains your files.

You may recognized Image Processor panel is divided into 4 sections which has a number.
⦁ Select the images to process: In the first section you can select only an image, a folder which contains your files, you can also check the sub-folder, and at last you can open only the first image of the folder.
⦁ Select location to save Processed Images: Again you have three options in this section where you can save in the same location, a new folder and you can keep folder structure.
⦁ File Type: In this Panel you can save your image processor at which Format, but usually I use [Jpg] format. There is other options too like PSD, Tiff. There is also an option of re-sizing the image which you desire.
⦁ Preferences: in this panel you can also check the Run action, if you desire to apply any default actions of Photoshop then go ahead and then check the run action.
When your work is done click on Run to processor for you the result, automatically an image will open and automatically will close. I used default settings of Image Processor and here is the result of the image and its size is 486 KB.

2. After selecting images you will direct to timeline and all of your images are grouped in Timeline and layer panel.

3. Now for its better looking we need to apply motions effects. Like preview nuggets, click on tringle and apply desired settings on each image. Do not forgot to apply transitions between the images.

4. For looking your slideshow more beautiful, you can add music too by navigating on music Icon under the media Icon.

6.  And for the last and final step you need to render your project as video by navigating File-Export-Render video.

In the preview article I have introduced you with how to create video in Photoshop. It was about how to take a sequence of images and export them as video in Photoshop. But in this part’s of articles, we will learn to edit video clips using Photoshop . We trying to make videos in Photoshop and edit them but with some limitations than Premiere and After Effects.

Edit Video Clips Using Photoshop

Let’s do make a video or clips in Photoshop. It’s better to have installed the latest version of Photoshop on your system.

1. If you want to open a single clip into Photoshop, press Ctrl + O to open dialog box. But If you want to open more than one clip into one group, you can’t open them with this method.

So first open Photoshop, go to Window Menu and check Timeline. When timeline appears click on Tringle in front of media Icon and select Add Media.

2. After selecting Add Media, a new window will appear which is known as Add Clips. Here press Ctrl on the keyboard and select your clips. I have selected three clips.

3. When you opened all your clips into Photoshop, you can see all of them are grouped in timeline and layer Panel. Click on Tringle on every clips and Mute there sounds.

4. Mostly it occurs, your clip is little long and you want to cut some parts. Go to clip which you want to cut. From its beginning or last click and Double Arrow will appear. Then drag that till anywhere you want to cut. Also you can see its duration of cut scene and remaining scene in Preview Window.

5. You can also add motion effects to look more attractive just like preview part. But while adding motion effects, remember to convert them into Smart Object by navigating Layer – Smart Objects – Convert to Smart Objects. Finally, select every layer and convert them into Smart Object.

Note: As I applied these settings, you can follow different settings for other clips. Just like previous nugget blue color will transform to purple.

6. Go ahead for applying transitions between clips. Click on Black and White icon in timeline and select any transition, but mostly for beginning and last we use Fade but for between we use Cross Fade. So after applying transitions length to your video, it will be small and effects like below screenshot.

7. Obviously without sound it does not seem too attractive. For adding sound in your video, click on Tringle in front of music icon under the media icon. After selecting add audio and a new window will appear which is as add audio clips.

Try to select your audio and import it. If your audio is too lengthy like mine, make that small and at last add an effect to the audio.

8. It seems like we are in last step of our work, so let’s go ahead and render your video by navigating File-Export- Render video.

9. On the Render Video page, select any settings which you want just like nugget, after applying your settings click render.
