WP Migrate DB – Best WordPress clone site plugin

The last one is WP Migrate DB. It exports your database as a MySQL data dump (much like phpMyAdmin), does a find and replace on URLs and file paths, handles serialized data, then allows you to save it to your computer as an SQL file. To complete the migration, you need to use a database management tool (e.g. phpMyAdmin) to import the SQL file to your database, replacing your existing database. It is perfect for developers who need to migrate fresh data from the production site to their local install or migrate their locally developed site to a staging or production server.

Duplicate Post

WordPress Duplicate Post By Enrico Battocchi is the most recommended plugin on WordPress plugin directory. Once you install and activate this plugin, you can go to any post type like pages or posts. You will see two extra options for your posts.

How it works:

In ‘Edit Posts’/’Edit Pages,’ you can click on ‘Clone’ link below the post/page title: this will immediately create a copy and return to the list.

NEW! In ‘Edit Posts’/’Edit Pages,’ you can select one or more items, then choose ‘Clone’ in the ‘Bulk Actions’ drop-down to copy them all at once.

In ‘Edit Posts’/’Edit Pages,’ you can click on ‘New Draft’ link below the post/page title.

On the post edit screen, you can click on ‘Copy to a new draft’ above “Cancel”/”Move to trash.”

While viewing a post as a logged in user, you can click on ‘Copy to a new draft’ as a drop down link under “Edit Post” in the admin bar.

How to duplicate page in WordPress using duplicate WordPress page?

Clone: It will duplicate a post and save as new post-draft.

New Draft: It will duplicate the post and let you start editing and change the content.

Duplicate WordPress Page and Post without Plugin

If you are a developer and don’t want to use any plugin, you can do that with a few lines of code. Of course using the plugin is easy, but there are some advantages and disadvantages to using a plugin or not. We will discuss that later.

As a WordPress admin, you access to WordPress code editor. You can find it under Appearance > Editor. Once you are on the editor page, open the theme functions page from the right sidebar.

WordPress theme functions editor page

Note: Please make sure you have a backup of this file before editing.

Past the following code at the end of functions.php file.

add_filter( 'page_row_actions', 'technig_post_duplicator_link', 10, 2 );

Now you have the duplicate option for post and pages.

Use plugins or Code?

If you want to know which one is better, here are some suggestions that weather using code is better or using a plugin.

Using too many plugins in your site slow down your site speed. Especially when your plugin interacts with layouts of your page. For this types of plugin, it doesn’t matter. Since it’s a small feature, you don’t need to use any plugin. Just use the code. Of course, you can choose whatever suits you the best.

I have just update some WordPress plugins a few days ago and I received Site Database Backup email SPAM more than 1500+ just in a 5 hours. This issue make my website suspended by web hosting team. The below messages are the site database backup SPAMs that caused by iThemes Security WordPress plugin and how to fix site database backup email SPAM.

This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be.

Attached is the backup file for the database powering https://www.technig.com taken Sunday, August 21st, 2016 at 5:30 pm

The second email.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

The plugin just send this email in every minutes and even in every second. I exactly don’t know why it send’s too much notification email. One email is enough to inform the website owners to fix their website database backups.

As WordPress website owner you should know the most popular AB testing plugins for your WordPress websites. Making a simple WordPress website does not take so much time and resources anymore. You can just spend a few bucks on hosting, download free or cheap template, add some content and you’re done.

Nevertheless, usually the result you get won’t be considered a “good” website. You’ll want to add new features and change existing ones. But would you know what to change and how to do it? That’s when A/B testing comes into play.

Is there a sense in having thousands of users if they don’t convert? Not much. That’s why most businesses spend a pretty penny on conversion optimization.

WordPress AB Testing Plugins

According to Optimizely “A/B testing is a method of comparing two versions of a webpage or an app against each other to determine which one performs better. AB testing uses data & statistics to validate new design changes and improve your conversion rates.“

Before starting the A/B testing you should decide upon an objective (what is the main goal of your business). Then, choose KPI to evaluate the performance. After that you should decide what elements and variations you want to test.

With today’s A/B testing software almost every element of a website can be tested: Sign-up forms, Call-to-actions, Site search, Images, Navigation, Checkout process, Site colors, Headlines, General copy, Page layout, Prices, etc.

If you already know what and how you want to test, it’s time to pick the right A/B software for your WordPress website.

1) Nelio A/B Testing

Nelio A B Tesing – WordPress AB Testing Plugins

Price: $29 – $259 per month (on a monthly basis)

Nelio is one of the best A/B plugins available. As it was made specifically for WordPress , it’s fully compatible with it. It doesn’t require additional coding and all data can be accessed through a dashboard.

By default, current version of WordPress will let you upload only 8 MB file size to your site. But sometimes, you have a large to file for upload. You probably seen this issue a lot. In this how to tutorial, we will show you the easiest way to increase WordPress files upload limits for your site.

There are several ways to increase WordPress files upload limits for your site, we will show you the most command and easy ways. Using functions.php, using .htaccess and using php.ini in wp-admin. I will show you the easy and 100% working way.

Increase WordPress Files Upload Limits Using php.ini

This method will work hundred percent. It requires you to have full access in site cpanel, if you don’t have access to cpanel or you are just a simple user, you must call the developer who managed your site to do this job for you. I assume that you have access to cpanel. Now open wp-admin directory ( if you don’t see it, it’s inside public_html) where your WordPress site is installed. The next step is to create a php.ini file. After you create the files, past the following code inside and save.

memory_limit = 128M
upload_max_filesize = 128M
post_max_size = 128M
file_uploads = On

You can set the upload size as much as you want, for this demo we set it to 12oMB. Now if you open you media page in WordPress admin area, you will see that you can upload 120MB files. Make sure the file_uploads = on. Though it’s on by default in main php.ini, still it’s good practice to put it’s value to on.

Increase WordPress File Upload Size with Plugin

You can use WordPress plugin (Increase Upload Max Filesize) instead of uploading php.ini file to root directory from Cpanel

WordPress Max File Size – Increase WordPress Files Upload Limits or Size

Increase your website’s upload max filesize limit on your server by adding rules to
php5.ini
. If a
php5.ini
file does not exist on your server in the root of your website, one will be created. If your server uses
php.ini
instead, go to Tools -> Upload Max Filesize to run it with
php.ini
. You can also use this plugin to see your current php.ini settings status (go to Tools -> Upload Max Filesize).

If yes, then install and integrate MailChimp with your web site. If you already have subscriber widget, I’m absolutely sure that you know the simplicity and flexibility of MailChimp email marketing features.

What is MailChimp?

MailChimp is one of the most popular and a great email marketing web based software. Among all email marketing, MailChimp provide free up to 2000 email subscribers, and monthly 12000 email transferring for beginners. It’s really perfect for a new blogging startup. If you need more, upgrade to MailChimp pro version. So join more than 9 million people who use MailChimp to design and send 600 million emails every day.

The email list building is the most important task for every business and bloggers. If you haven’t any list yet, I recommend you to create it on your first leisure time. This article is going to explain the process of integrating MailChimp subscriber widget or embedded forms code with a website. It doesn’t matter what system your website has, dynamic or static, CMS or pure HTML. The MailChimp is ready to support all of them.

How to Register?

One of the best option of MailChimp I like is free registration without requiring credit cards or any other payment credential. Once your audience grow up to 2000 subscribers, then upgrade to MailChimp pro version.

Open MailChimp website and click Sign Up Free, then fill in the form with your correct email address,name, and password then click Create My Account.

Register on MailChimp

2. You will receive an account activation email. Click on Activate Account to active your account.

Just one more step

3. Now it will open a new form to complete the last step. Fill in the form with your organization information, upload logo, and click Save and get started.

Fill In the Form Correctly

4. When the registration has completed successfully, go to configure your email marketing settings. If you have email list, import your email list, create campaign or integrate MailChimp with your website.

Here I’m applying this article on Technig web site in order to integrate MailChimp with my web site. It works perfectly for me. Just comment us in case of any issues to help you solve the problem.

4. Copy the created API key and past it in your web site on MailChimp API key section then save the settings.

5. After saving the settings and applying changes, the final result should be successful.

Integrate MailChimp Result

6. Now it’s time to add subscription widget to your web site. Navigate to WordPress dashboard, Appearance, Widgets. Then add the MialChimp signup form to sidebar. Or like me install the WP Subscribe plugin.

Note: If you are using WP Subscribe plugin, it support MailChimp by default. Just select MailChimp from settings and add the API key you created before and your List ID.

WP Subscribe plugin

To find your list id, navigate to MailChimp Settings and see under MailChimp Data to find the list ids.

OK, everything works fine, see the subscriber widget’s of our web site as a sample. For a static web site, use the embedded code of MailChimp subscription within your web site widgets.

Hope you can integrate MailChimp as a great free email marketing with your web site without any issue. For any issue comment us. We glad to help our blog readers.

It doesn’t have any built-in option to change it. but I have solve this problem with adding some basic code to the function.php file of the current applied WordPress Theme. It work perfect but doesn’t have function and not more flexible. Instead you can use some WordPress plugin.

WordPress Redirect Logout page Using Code

if you want to go directly to the front page when you log out, place this code into your functions.php in your current theme.

add_action(‘wp_logout’,’go_home’);
function go_home(){
wp_redirect( home_url() );
exit();
}

The code must be placed at the end of all code. See the screenshot.

Redirect WordPress Logout page to Home Page

WordPress Redirect Logout page Using WordPress Plugin

With plugin you can choose which URL users are directed to when logging out of WordPress. You redirect the users to some page such a network homepage, Help and Support, Sales page, Special offer for existing users and even to the specific product of the company.

So for more function and options, the best case is using plugin. The best plugin I recommend you is Logout Redirect plugin.

Network Settings Network Admin WordPress

It is easy, simply install the plugin and follow the How to redirect WordPress Logout page to any page you want.

Read WordPress document for Function Reference/wp logout url help.

Hop it would be helpful and can solve your WordPress problems.
