Changing IP address in Android devices is easy. Just follow this article and easily change the Android IP address in your mobile and tablet device. In most networks connected clients (including mobile devices) get automatically assigned an IP address via DHCP. If you are connected to a mobile providers network, in most cases your device will be assigned a private IP address from a pool. In this case, your address might automatically change. if you disconnect and reconnect to the network (depending on the mobile provider’s settings). However, you won’t be able to just manually assign an IP address when connected to such a network.

  2. Your mobile data connection

How to Change Android IP Address?

In order to change the assigned IP address of the WiFi adaptor or set a static IP address in the Android operating system, you need to perform the following actions.

  1. Open the mobile or Tablet Settings.
  2. Go to Wi-Fi
  3. Tap and hold the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to until the below box appears.

5. Tap the checkbox next to Show Advanced Options then choose Static from the IPv4 settings menu.

6. Input your static IP information and tap Save to apply the changes.

How to change the mobile data IP address

Note: For configuring static IP address on Android devices, you need to know the IP address, Default gateway, Subnet must and DNS server.

In this case, the IP address is 192.168.1.14 with the Gateway IP address of 192.168.1.1 which is the router or modem IP address. The 24 is the prefix length of the Class C IP address, which is “255.255.255.0”. Here you can use the router or modem IP address as a DNS server or using another public DNS server that helps you access internet websites.
