<p>The last one is WP Migrate DB. It exports your database as a MySQL data dump (much like phpMyAdmin), does a find and replace on URLs and file paths, handles serialized data, then allows you to save it to your computer as an SQL file. To complete the migration, you need to use a database management tool (e.g. phpMyAdmin) to import the SQL file to your database, replacing your existing database. It is perfect for developers who need to migrate fresh data from the production site to their local install or migrate their locally developed site to a staging or production server.</p>

<h3 class="plugin-title"><a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-post/" rel="noopener">Duplicate Post </a></h3>
<p>WordPress Duplicate Post By Enrico Battocchi is the most recommended plugin on WordPress plugin directory. Once you <strong>install</strong> and <strong>activate</strong> this plugin, you can go to any post type like pages or posts. You will see two extra options for your posts.</p>
<p><strong>How it works:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>In ‘Edit Posts’/’Edit Pages,&#8217; you can click on ‘Clone’ link below the post/page title: this will immediately create a copy and return to the list.</li>
<li>NEW! In ‘Edit Posts’/’Edit Pages,&#8217; you can select one or more items, then choose ‘Clone’ in the ‘Bulk Actions’ drop-down to copy them all at once.</li>
<li>In ‘Edit Posts’/’Edit Pages,&#8217; you can click on ‘New Draft’ link below the post/page title.</li>
<li>On the post edit screen, you can click on ‘Copy to a new draft’ above “Cancel”/”Move to trash.”</li>
<li>While viewing a post as a logged in user, you can click on ‘Copy to a new draft’ as a drop down link under “Edit Post” in the admin bar.</li>
</ol>
<figure id="attachment_10288" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-10288" style="width: 640px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/duplicate-WordPress-page-options.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-10288" src="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/duplicate-WordPress-page-options.png" alt="How to duplicate page in WordPress using duplicate WordPress page?" width="640" height="312" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/duplicate-WordPress-page-options.png 700w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/duplicate-WordPress-page-options-300x146.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-10288" class="wp-caption-text">How to duplicate page in WordPress using duplicate WordPress page?</figcaption></figure>
<p><strong>Clone</strong>: It will duplicate a post and save as new post-draft.</p>
<p><strong>New Draft:</strong> It will duplicate the post and let you start editing and change the content.</p>
<h2>Duplicate WordPress Page and Post without Plugin</h2>
<p>If you are a developer and don&#8217;t want to use any plugin, you can do that with a few lines of code. Of course using the plugin is easy, but there are some advantages and disadvantages to using a plugin or not. We will discuss that later.</p>
<p>As a WordPress admin, you access to WordPress code editor. You can find it under <em><strong>Appearance &gt; Editor. </strong></em>Once you are on the editor page, open the theme functions page from the right sidebar.</p>

add_filter( 'page_row_actions', 'technig_post_duplicator_link', 10, 2 );</pre>
<p>Now you have the duplicate option for post and pages.</p>
<h2>Use plugins or Code?</h2>
<p>If you want to know which one is better, here are some suggestions that weather using code is better or using a plugin.</p>
<p>Using too many plugins in your site slow down your site speed. Especially when your plugin interacts with layouts of your page. For this types of plugin, it doesn&#8217;t matter. Since it&#8217;s a small feature, you don&#8217;t need to use any plugin. Just use the code. Of course, you can choose whatever suits you the best.</p>
<p>If you have any question about how to duplicate page in WordPress, feel free to comment it below. 🙂</p>

In this short tips and trick tutorial, you will learn how to limit WordPress the_content words length . We will show you the different ways to do that plus the best and recommended way.</p>
<h2>How to Limit WordPress the_content Words</h2>
<p>You use the_content function in almost every page of your <a href="http://wordpress.org/">WordPress </a>theme. For instance you use in index.php file and  it will echo all the content for one post or page. But you don&#8217;t want to show all content. Maybe only 50 words. Here how you can limit the_content.</p>
<h3>Using Filter Hoock</h3>
<p>Open your functions.php file and write the following code.</p>
<pre class="theme:sublime-text lang:php decode:true">  function technig_the_content($content)
  {
    // Take the existing content and return a subset of characters it
    return substr($content, 0, 500);
  }

  add_filter("the_content", "technig_the_content");
</pre>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote><p><em>The only problem with this method is that, it will filter the_content and shows 500 character no-matter where you have used. For example, if you have used in in single post which you display all the content, it will display only that 500 characters. ( not a good way )</em></p></blockquote>
<h3>Using wp_trim_words</h3>
<p>This method is probably easy and short solution. Every time you use the_content function, apply the wp_trim_words function on it.</p>
<pre class="theme:sublime-text lang:php decode:true ">&lt;?php
        echo wp_trim_words( get_the_content(), 80 );
?&gt;</pre>
<blockquote><p><em>You can&#8217;t use the_content function because you it will echo the content directly. Instead, we use get_the_content() function. </em></p></blockquote>
<h3>Using Custom Function</h3>
<p>This method is going to be the best and most flexible way to limit WordPress the_content words length. Write the following custom function in your functions.php file.</p>
<pre class="theme:sublime-text lang:php decode:true">function technig_content($limit){
  $content = explode(' ', get_the_content(), $limit);

  if (count($content)&gt;=$limit){
       array_pop($content);
       $content = implode(" ",$content).'...';
  } else {
    $content = implode(" ",$content);
  }

  $content = preg_replace('/\[.+\]/','', $content);
  $content = apply_filters('the_content', $content);
  $content = str_replace(']]&gt;', ']]&amp;gt;', $content);
  return $content;
}</pre>
<p>Use the custom function instead of the_content. For example:</p>
<pre class="theme:sublime-text lang:php decode:true">&lt;?php echo technig_content(30); ?&gt;
</pre>
<h2>Conclusion</h2>
<p>You can use the_excerpt() function as will to display less content. But still you will need to modify the length of the words in that. We hope you have learn something and use it in you next project. Feel free to ask you question bellow. 🙂</p>

<figure id="attachment_9079" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-9079" style="width: 386px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-9079" src="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink.png" alt="Customize WordPress site permalink" width="386" height="165" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink.png 386w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-300x128.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 386px) 100vw, 386px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-9079" class="wp-caption-text">Customize WordPress site permalink</figcaption></figure>
<p>By default, there quite a few options that you can choose.</p>
<figure id="attachment_9080" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-9080" style="width: 652px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-1.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class=" wp-image-9080" src="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-1.png" alt="Customize WordPress site permalink" width="652" height="311" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-1.png 1085w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-1-300x143.png 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-1-768x367.png 768w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-site-permalink-1-1024x489.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 652px) 100vw, 652px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-9080" class="wp-caption-text">Customize WordPress site permalink</figcaption></figure>
<p>But, sometime this options are not what you want. Fore instance, you might want to show the<em><span style="background-color: #dedede;"> post-title/id</span> </em>or <em><span style="background-color: #dedede;">id/post-title.</span></em></p>
<p>Example:</p>
<pre class="lang:default decode:true">https://example.com/I-love-coding/55123</pre>
<p>In those situations, the default options would&#8217;t work.</p>
<h2>How to Customize WordPress Site Permalink</h2>
<p>Basically, There are two ways to customize and make the permalink pretty. One, by writing a simple function in your <span style="background-color: #dedede;"><em>functions.php</em> </span>file of you theme. Two, writing a custom structure to the given option in permalinks page.</p>
<blockquote><p><em>We will go through but ways. The only disadvantage for first way is this. If you change your theme, the options might not work. So make sure which you way is suitable for you. </em></p></blockquote>
<h3>First Option</h3>
<p>Open your<em><span style="background-color: #dedede;"> functions.php </span></em>file which is in your active theme directory and past the following code.</p>
<pre class="theme:sublime-text lang:php decode:true ">add_action( "init", "technig_permalink" );
function technig_permalink() {

    //This rule will match : I-love-coding/55123
    add_rewrite_rule(
        '^([^/]*)/([0-9]+)/?',
        'index.php?p=$matches[2]',
        'top' );

   //This rule will match : 55123/I-love-coding
    add_rewrite_rule(
        '^([0-9]+)/([^/]*)/?',
        'index.php?p=$matches[1]',
        'top' );

}</pre>
<p>Choose one the above rules.</p>
<h3>Second Option</h3>
<p>The second option will be easy and most convenient way. Select the<em> Custom Structure</em> and write the following value.</p>
<pre class="lang:default decode:true ">/%postname%/%post_id%</pre>
<figure id="attachment_9081" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-9081" style="width: 748px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-URL.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-9081" src="http://3.90.216.52/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-URL.png" alt="Customize WordPress URL" width="748" height="179" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-URL.png 748w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Customize-WordPress-URL-300x72.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 748px) 100vw, 748px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-9081" class="wp-caption-text">Customize WordPress URL</figcaption></figure>
<p>That&#8217;s it. There are many other options and variable that you might want to use.</p>
<pre class="theme:sublime-text lang:default decode:true"> %year%
The year of the post, four digits, for example 2004
 %monthnum%
Month of the year, for example 05
