1. Press the Windows + R button to open the run box.

2. Write the Regedit in the Run box and click ok. Allow the user to make changes.
3. Navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

4. In the Winlogon folder, find the ‘DefaultUserName’ string. If you did not find it, create a new String by right-clicking on the Winlogon folder, then New>String Value. Rename it with the DefaultUserName and double-click on it to open.

5. In the Edit String window, enter your Microsoft account, User Name, or Other ID that you want to disable their password in the Value data and click ok to save the changes.

6. Find another string with ‘DefualtPassword’ or create a new one and rename that as ‘DefualtPassword.’
7. Double click on the DefualtPassword string and enter the password of the related account in the Value data and click ok.

8. Now find the ‘AutoAdminLogon’ string in the Winlogon folder or create a new one and name it AutoAdminLogon.
9. Double click on the ‘AutoAdminLogon’ string, set its value data to 1, and click Ok.

Finally, after the restart, you will automatically log in (Without a password) to your computer.

How to remove the login password with Command Prompt?

If you are signing into your computer with a local account, removing the password is more effortless. One easy way to remove the local account password is through the CMD.

1. Open the command prompt as administrator.
2. Write the net user and enter; see the list of all user accounts on your computer.
3. Now write net user username * and enter. (instead of the username, write the name of the user you want to disable its password)
4. Instead of writing the password for the selected user, enter without writing anything. (they should be blank)
5. Do not write anything in the confirmation password, and press enter.

6. You will see a message saying, ‘The command was completed successfully.

You just turned off the lock screen password on Windows 11. Restart your computer, and you will log in without a password.

Disable the login password on Windows 11 from the User Account Panel.

Another way to disable the user account password on Windows 11 is through the User Account Panel.

1. Write the Netplwiz in the Run box and click ok. (Or write the Netplwiz in the search box and open it)
2. Select the intended account from the user account panel, uncheck the box, and click ok. ( If you cannot select the intended account at first, check the above box once, then choose the desired account, and then uncheck the box )

3. Enter the account’s password and confirm the password, then click ok.

Finally, restart your computer; you will log in without a password.

The Password Settings Objects (PSO) which was introduced in Windows Server 2008, apply a password policy for AD DS Fine-Grained Password and Account Lockout in Windows Server. When you configure the password policy from the Group policy for an Organizational Unit (OU), you can not apply the settings for other AD objects. So with password settings objects, you can do the task easily. I’m going to apply Password Settings Objects for the domain admin account in Windows Server 2012 R2.

Applying Password Settings Objects

In Windows Server 2012 R2 the PSO is applied through Active Directory Administrative Center.

1. So go to the Windows Server manager and open the Active directory administrative centre or type “DSAC” in the Run.

2. Select domain (Technig.local) then double click the System to open it. Then click the Password Settings Container to open it. See the above screenshot.

3. Right-click the main page of the password settings container and click New then click Password Settings.

4. Configure the Password Settings whatever you want. Try to set the required options. If you are not familiar with the password settings policy, do the following.

Tick the checkboxes of: 

• Enforce the minimum password length and enter the minimum password length =10.
• Enforce password history =28. It is the number of passwords remembered by a system that you can’t choose the password before the 28th time.
• Password must meet complexity requirements. The password must contain numbers, alphabets, symbols and etc.
• Protect from accidental deletion. The PSO will not delete accidentally.
• Enforce minimum password age and Enforce maximum password age. Bot shows the duration of password changes.
• Enforce account lockout policy. This will protect your account from unauthorized access or protect from brute-force attacks.

When all tasks are accomplished successfully, click OK to save the new Password Settings Objects.

5. Open the newly created password settings objects and click Directly Applies to, then add the groups you want to set and apply this PSO for them.

6. Close all pages and now try to test the PSO by changing the group members’ password or login attempts.
