In this Photoshop tips and tutorial I am going to show you how to design photography flyer using Photoshop? So as you know flyer is a very popular things, for advertising any business, product, events and many other stuff. In this tutorial I will show you the essential and important details you need to include in your flyer.

Design Photography Flyer Using Photoshop

First lets see what we will create in this (Design Photography Flyer Using Photoshop). To design an standard flyer you should know the standard sizes of international paper sizes, which you can find it in Photoshop presets as well, the most common sizes for flyers are A4, A5, US Letter but you can use any sizes.

1. OK go to File> New (Ctrl+N) open new document use A4 size for your flyer you can find A4 size by clicking on preset and choice International Paper from size select A4 black color for background as bellow.

2. Now pick Custom Shape Tool and find the Arrow 2 shape  then draw it, and make a copy of that then reflect it till it looks like letter x.

3. SO select both arrow and merge it together, to merge the layer select two layers and right click on it, a long list pop up and you can find the merge commend at the bottom of the list, after merging the layers specially shapes you should do one more thing, select the merged shapes and open the shape operation from the Option bare and use Merge Shape Components, in order to remove the extra paths then name the merged shapes (Frame)

4. Make 4 copy of that Frame layers, place and align it as bellow then apply an Inner Shadow

Blending Mode (Normal), Angle (120^o), Distance (4 px), Size (4). Copy the layer style and past it on other Frame layers too it gives a great look to your frames you can add a very thin stroke as well if you  like.

5. Select all of frames and duplicate it and put it in a group name it Back Frame move it at the bottom of all other frames and bring down the opacity of your Back Frame to 20 %, scale it up an move it down as bellow try to change the color of the Back Frame to black.

6. Now draw a Rectangle as bellow the try to use black color for the layer, we are going to use it as a place holders for each Frames. To do so rasturize the rectangle then converted to Smart Object layer by right clicking on the selected layer then use Convert to Smart Object comment, and make it as the size of  all the frames or even bigger see the image bellow.

7. Right! now make four copies of place holder and put it on top of each Frames then use the Clipping Mask commend to clip it on the Frame bellow.

8. Well done! dabble click on any or placeholder layers to place a photo, when you dabble click on any smart object layer it will open in a new document then you can place your photo into that document and press (Ctrl+S) to save that it will save in the main document, to give a better look to your frame bring down opacity of some Frames.

9. An finally I add some text details which are very important to be on your flyer, you make three group for you texts (Title) group, (Contacts) group and (Services) group as you see bellow in final result.

In this tutorial I am trying to show you how to be expert to use Illustrator 3D Extrude Options ? The extrude option of Illustrator is very easy to use and it will be awesome if you understand it how to use, this step by step tutorial will help you to be familiar with this power full option Adobe Illustrator.

Introducing Illustrator 3D Extrude Options

Lets take a look what we will create in this Illustrator 3D extrude options, follow me till the end of this tutorial to know all secret of this feature.

1. In this step I show to how make a 3D cube, and how to apply symbols to each surfaces of that cube, Open a new document and and draw big square as the size of the Art-board give it a color you like,then pick the Rectangle Tool and draw a perfect square.

2. Give any color to the square you like and select it and go to Filter> 3D> Extrude & Bevel Options it will open a new small window the only thing you need to do is follow the guide in image bellow.

3. OK, your square should looks like bellow, and now I want to put number on each side of that square, it is very easy to do it, pick the Pen Tool and write three numbers and drag and drop it into the symbol panel, I write 1,2 and 3 and save these as a symbols.

4. Now select the cube and go to Appearance panel and there will be the Extrude and Bevel Options, dabble click on it and, it will open the 3D extrude & bevel options, so open the Map Art options which is at the bottom  of this panel, in the Map Art panel you will see some options like Symbol, Surface and some other options, the symbol option help you to select the symbol you saved and the surface option help you to find the side or surface to set a symbol on it.

Your final result should looks like bellow.

In this advanced Photoshop photo manipulation tutorial, I will show you how to manipulate a photo using brushes, Layer Masks, Layer Styles and money other stuff. So before starting the tutorial download the files we need during our work.

Brush: Floral Design Brushes

Advanced Photoshop Photo Manipulation

1. Open new document 1500 x 1000 px with black color background and place your photo into the document then make a copy of photo name it Cute Girl and resturize it, to resturize the photo layer Right click on it a long list pup up click on restrize option to do so.

2. Now use Quick Selection Tool (W) to select background of your photo, after selecting the photo click on Mask icon at the bottom of layer panel to hide the background of your photo.

3. Pick the brush tool to smooth out the edge of the photo, use smooth brush with black color selected and start painting on the Mask layer of the Cute Girl, as bellow.

4. So now install your floral brushes to install the brush open the folder and double click on brush file it will open Photoshop and check out brush presets it comes there.

5. Create new layer at the top of Cute Girl layer and use one of the brush style and try to paint on girl’s face. Do not paint with one style brush and on one layer for each brush make new layer, if your brush angle does not mach to the photo try to fix it from brush panel(Window> Brush) or press F5.

6. OK! do the same process to the right side of your photo use the same brushes but change the angle of your brushes or use X and Y Reflect option in the brush panel.

7. Now you get the point, use different brushes and paint over the Girl face till it looks like bellow and filled most part of girl face use different layers to paint.

8. After finishing the paint over the face, now make a copy of Cute Girl and put it over each brush layers then use clipping mask option to clip each girl’s photos to the painted layers.

9. Now apply Drop Shadow style for each painted layers. it will give a better look for your design, it looks like below see the differences.

10. Group all the layers and apply Hue and Saturation on you group and set the value to (Hue +9, Saturation 88) bring down the Hue and Saturation Opacity  to 30 %, your done!
