<p>The requirements to install <a href="https://www.technig.com/download-windows-11-iso-file/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Windows 11</a> on the VMware Workstation are the same as when we install it on our physical computer (host machine). TPM 2.0, secure boot, and a minimum of 4 GB of RAM are of the most concern to most users. Fortunately, we can easily enable secure boot and add hardware for TPM on VMware Workstation. We can also bypass RAM requirements using the Registry Editor. These topics make up the content of this article to bypass <a href="https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/windows-11-requirements" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Windows 11 requirements</a> on VMware Workstation. </p>

<p>To be more specific, we will step through the following topics.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8.jpg" alt="Creating new Windows 11 virtual machine on VMWare" class="wp-image-16987" width="596" height="286" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8.jpg 744w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8-300x144.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px" /><figcaption>Creating new Windows 11 virtual machine on VMWare</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>To this point, we have created a new Windows 11 virtual machine. You must see it under <strong>My Computer</strong> on the left panel of the VMware home page. You can select it and edit the settings, or power it on. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="How-to-enable-secure-boot-and-TPM-on-VMWare">Enable Secure Boot and TPM on VMware</h2>

<p>Now that we have created a new Windows 11 virtual machine, we can edit its settings. We can increase the memory amount, expand the disk space, and do lots of other settings. Amongst all, what we are going to do is to enable TPM and secure boot for our Windows 11 virtual machine. </p>

<p>Follow the steps below.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Select the Windows 11 virtual machine and click on <strong>Edit virtual machine settings,</strong> as shown in the below picture.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9-1.jpg" alt="Enable TPM and Secure Boot on VMWare Workstation" class="wp-image-16988" width="621" height="403" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9-1.jpg 812w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9-1-300x195.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9-1-768x498.jpg 768w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9-1-210x136.jpg 210w" sizes="(max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px" /><figcaption>Enable TPM and Secure Boot on VMWare Workstation</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Go to the <strong>Options</strong> tab and select <strong>Advanced</strong>. Check the <strong>UEFI</strong> option on the right, and Check the <strong>Enable secure boot</strong> sub-option. Finally, click on <strong>OK</strong>. See the below picture illustration. That&#8217;s all with enabling secure boot. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/10-1.jpg" alt="Enable Secure Boot on VMWare Workstation" class="wp-image-16989" width="629" height="588"/><figcaption>Enable Secure Boot on VMWare Workstation</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>To enable TPM, there are two prerequisites. First, to enable the secure boot that we did in the previous step, and the second, to encrypt our virtual machine. To encrypt our machine, choose the <strong>Access control</strong> option, and click on <strong>encrypt</strong>. Set the password and click on <strong>Encrypt</strong>. Check the below picture. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/11-1.jpg" alt="Enable TPM on VMWare Virtual Machine | Encrypt the virtual machine" class="wp-image-16992" width="632" height="442" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/11-1.jpg 746w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/11-1-300x210.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 632px) 100vw, 632px" /><figcaption>Enable TPM on VMWare Virtual Machine | Encrypt the virtual machine</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Go to the <strong>Hardware</strong> tab, and click on <strong>Add</strong> button. Choose the <strong>Trusted Platform Module</strong>, and click <strong>Finish</strong> afterwards. Click on <strong>OK</strong>, finally. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/12.jpg" alt="Enable TPM on VMWare virtual machine | Add TPM Hardware" class="wp-image-16993" width="645" height="605" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/12.jpg 745w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/12-300x282.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 645px) 100vw, 645px" /><figcaption>Enable TPM on VMWare virtual machine | Add TPM Hardware</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>We have successfully enabled UEFI secure boot and, consequently, added TPM to our windows 11 virtual machine. Now, we can power it on and install it. However, we still need to consider the minimum RAM requirement. If we dedicate 4 GB of RAM to our Windows 11 virtual machine, there will not be an issue. What if we do not have a sufficient amount? Obviously, we need to bypass that too.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="How-to-bypass-window-11-RAM-requirement">Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMware </h2>

<p>When we do not have 4 GB of RAM, we can not bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement using the virtual machine settings. For this purpose, however, we can use the <strong>Registry Editor</strong> window. Below are the steps to bypass this requirement using <strong>Registry Editor</strong>. </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Power on the Windows 11 virtual machine. </li><li>On the startup, when it asks to press any key, press a key on your keyboard to boot. </li><li>Wait until it opens the <strong>Windows</strong> <strong>Setup </strong>window. On this page, press the <strong>Shift + F10</strong> keys on your keyboard to open the command prompt. Type the <strong>Regedit </strong>command on the command prompt and press enter. It opens the <strong>Registry Editor</strong> page. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/13.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | Windows setup window" class="wp-image-17004" width="693" height="465" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/13.jpg 909w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/13-300x202.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/13-768x516.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | Windows setup window</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>On the Registry Editor window, expand <strong>the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE </strong>folder, and then expand the <strong>SYSTEM </strong>sub-folder. Right-click on the <strong>Setup </strong>folder, and select <strong>New </strong>and <strong>Key </strong>as shown in the below picture. Name the key <strong>LabConfig</strong> and press enter. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/14.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | Registry Editor Window" class="wp-image-17005" width="706" height="383" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/14.jpg 825w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/14-300x163.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/14-768x416.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 706px) 100vw, 706px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | Registry Editor Window</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Select the <strong>LabConfig </strong>folder you created. Right-click on the empty space on the right side. Click on new and choose the <strong>DWORD (32-bit) Value</strong> option from the sub-menu as illustrated below. Name this file <strong>BypassRAMCheck</strong> and enter to save. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/15.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | LabConfig folder" class="wp-image-17006" width="704" height="427" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/15.jpg 828w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/15-300x182.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/15-768x467.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | LabConfig folder</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Now, double-click on the file to open the modification. Change the<strong> Value data</strong> to 1 and press <strong>OK</strong>. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/16.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | BypassRAMCheck file" class="wp-image-17007" width="703" height="396" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/16.jpg 585w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/16-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 RAM requirement on VMWare Workstation | BypassRAMCheck file</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>This file bypasses the Windows 11 4 GB of RAM requirement. Close the <strong>Registry Editor</strong> and the <strong>Command Prompt </strong>windows. You can now continue installing windows 11 with no requirement of 4 GB of RAM.</li></ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Summary</h2>

<p>We are at the end of this article. So far, we stepped through creating a Windows 11 virtual machine on the VMware workstation. Then, we discussed in a step-by-step wise how to enable secure boot and how to add TPM to our Windows 11 virtual machine. Last but not least, we covered how we can bypass the minimum 4 GB RAM requirements for windows 11. Shortly saying, we discussed how we could bypass Windows 11 requirements on VMware Workstation.</p>

<p>I hope you find this article helpful. If there is any question, please feel free to share us in the comment section. </p>

<p>Windows 11 has some additional security features that require specific hardware requirements. Due to the hardware incompatibility of most of the old PCs, users are facing issues installing this operating system on their machines. If your computer is not capable, you must face the below error window while installing Windows 11. There are easy solutions I will cover here to bypass those requirements</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/1-.jpg" alt="How to Bypass Windows 11 Requirements | Incompatibility Error " class="wp-image-16951" width="743" height="557" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/1-.jpg 640w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/1--300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/1--86x64.jpg 86w" sizes="(max-width: 743px) 100vw, 743px" /><figcaption>How to Bypass Windows 11 Requirements | Incompatibility Error </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Out of all the requirements, the three most common ones that stop most users are the following. </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Minimum 4 GB of RAM</li><li>UEFI Secure Boot capability</li><li>Trusted Platform Modul (TPM) version 2.0 </li></ul>

<p>This article will discuss how to bypass the above requirements using two simple methods. If your computer does not meet one or even all of the above prerequisites, you can still bypass them and install Windows 11 by following one of these two methods. Before bypassing the requirements, ensure that your computer doesn&#8217;t have the above capability. If your computer does have the capability and may not be enabled, try to enable them rather than bypass them. Check the below links to verify and enable secure boot.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><a href="https://www.technig.com/fix-this-pc-must-support-secure-boot/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fix This PC Must Support Secure Boot Correctly</a></li><li><a href="https://www.technig.com/verify-secure-boot-is-enabled/">How To Verify Secure Boot Is Enabled?</a></li></ul>

<p>Please note that you are not using Windows 11 in a standard manner with all its capabilities when you bypass these prerequisites. That is obvious! So, it is good to bypass the requirements only when you use it for testing, not for professional uses. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="Bypass-Windows-11-Requirements">Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor</h2>

<p>The first method is using the<strong> Registry Editor</strong> window.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Prepare your Windows 11 bootable media, whether bootable USB or a Windows 11 CD/DVD.</li></ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Boot your PC with the Windows 11 media.</li></ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Press the <strong>Shift + F10</strong> keys to open <strong>Command Prompt on the Windows Setup window.</strong> </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/2-Windows-Setup-Page-1.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Windows Setup window" class="wp-image-16955" width="680" height="503" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/2-Windows-Setup-Page-1.jpg 621w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/2-Windows-Setup-Page-1-300x222.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/2-Windows-Setup-Page-1-86x64.jpg 86w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Windows Setup window</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Type the <strong>RegEdit</strong> command and press enter to open <strong>Registry Editor on the Command Prompt</strong>.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/3-Command-Prompt-Window.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Command Prompt window |" class="wp-image-16956" width="678" height="274" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/3-Command-Prompt-Window.jpg 747w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/3-Command-Prompt-Window-300x121.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 678px) 100vw, 678px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Command Prompt window |</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>On the Registry Editor, expand the <strong>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE</strong>, then the <strong>SYSTEM</strong> folder, and finally the <strong>Setup</strong>. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/4-Registry-Editor-window.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Registry Editor Window" class="wp-image-16957" width="695" height="434" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/4-Registry-Editor-window.jpg 768w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/4-Registry-Editor-window-300x188.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 695px) 100vw, 695px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Registry Editor Window</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Right-click on th<strong>e Setup </strong>folder, select <strong>New </strong>from the menu, and <strong>Key </strong>from the sub-menu.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/5-setup-right-click.png" alt="Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Setup Folder" class="wp-image-16958" width="703" height="563" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/5-setup-right-click.png 770w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/5-setup-right-click-300x240.png 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/5-setup-right-click-768x615.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | Setup Folder</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>This file is to bypass the TPM check while installing windows 11. Name the file <strong>BypassTPMCheck</strong>, and press enter. Then, double click on it and change th<strong>e Value data</strong> from 0 to 1. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/7-Bypass-TPMCheck.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-16960" width="705" height="423" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/7-Bypass-TPMCheck.jpg 768w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/7-Bypass-TPMCheck-300x180.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 705px) 100vw, 705px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | BypassTPMCheck file</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Please create a new <strong>DWORD (32 bit) Value </strong>file, name it <strong>BypassSecureBootCheck</strong>, and change its <strong>Value date </strong>from 0 to 1. Create one more for RAM requirement with the <strong>BypassRAMCheck</strong> name if you do not have 4 GB of RAM installed on your PC.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="752" height="389" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8-AllChecks.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | BypassRAMCheck and BypassSecureBootCheck." class="wp-image-16961" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8-AllChecks.jpg 752w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8-AllChecks-300x155.jpg 300w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/8-AllChecks-750x389.jpg 750w" sizes="(max-width: 752px) 100vw, 752px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 Requirements Using Registry Editor | BypassRAMCheck and BypassSecureBootCheck.</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>That is all with the settings. Close the Registry Editor and CMD windows, and continue with the installation. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="Bypass-Windows-11-Requirements">Bypass Windows 11 Requirements With Rufus </h2>

<p>The second method is by using Rufus software. Using this method, you should create a new Windows 11 bootable USB flash using Rufus. So, you should have both Rufus software and the ISO image of Windows 11. Follow the steps below.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Download the latest version of Rufus from <a href="https://rufus.ie/en/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">here</a> if you do not have it. </li><li>Download the Windows 11 ISO file from the Microsoft website <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>. </li><li>Insert the USB flash to create a Windows 11 bootable media. </li><li>Open the Rufus program and select the right USB flash under the Device section.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="472" height="515" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 requirements using Rufus | Rufus device detection" class="wp-image-16963" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9.jpg 472w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/9-275x300.jpg 275w" sizes="(max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 requirements using Rufus | Rufus device detection</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Under Boot Selection, choose <strong>Disk or ISO image</strong>. Click on the <strong>Select </strong>button and browse for the Windows 11 ISO image. The Image Options<strong> </strong>section will pop up when you select the ISO file. Select <strong>Extended Windows 11 Installation (no TPM / no Secure Boot)</strong> from this section. </li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="475" height="562" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/10.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 requirements using Rufus | Image Option section" class="wp-image-16964" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/10.jpg 475w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/10-254x300.jpg 254w" sizes="(max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 requirements using Rufus | Image Option section</figcaption></figure></div>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Choose the right partition scheme according to the partition of your Disk. Let all other options as default and click on the <strong>Start</strong> button at the bottom. Consequently, you will receive a warning message from Rufus saying, &#8220;all your data from the selected USB will be erased&#8221;. If you have important files there, you must copy them before this operation. To continue the operation, click on <strong>OK</strong>.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="475" height="389" src="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/11.jpg" alt="Bypass Windows 11 requirements using Rufus | Rufus Warning Message" class="wp-image-16965" srcset="https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/11.jpg 475w, https://www.technig.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/11-300x246.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px" /><figcaption>Bypass Windows 11 requirements using Rufus | Rufus Warning Message</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><strong>Note:</strong> You can bypass only the TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements using the second method. If you have less than 4 GB of RAM installed on your computer, you can bypass this requirement using the first method.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Conclusion</h2>

<p>We walked through two simple methods on how we can install Windows 11 on a computer with no TPM 2.0, secure boot, and a minimum of 4 GB RAM. It is too easy to bypass these requirements and has our Windows 11 installed on unsupported hardware. Once more, I want to mention that these types of uses are not standard. It is good to try these methods for testing Windows 11, but to use it with full capabilities and security features, you must always consider those requirements. </p>
